The Pulsar Brand Of Watches Made By Seiko

One of the most popular wristwatches ever made was the original digital Pulsar. The first Pulsars were made by Hamilton. Now Pulsar is a Seiko watch. Thge first ones were named after one of the astronomical objects that looks like an exploding star. These watches are interesting to study and feature in many educational exhibits and shows to educate people about timekeeping. The electronic features of these watches are impressive, but the design is very simple and classic.

Over time, Pulsars have become quite collectible as they were expensive when they first came out. Back in 1972, however, they were not marketed as Seikos like other models at the time were. Instead, they were named after pulsars— highly magnetic spinning stars found in distant galaxies— when they first came out. The name Pulsar is derived from pulsare, Latin for to spin.

Many people know that a pulsar is a rotating neutron star without knowing it’s also a type of watch! Pulsars have become very collectible as they were expensive when they first came out. However, later models dropped the “Pulsar” name altogether and now just refer to them as “Seiko mechanical chronograph” or “Auto Chronograph” watches depending on their model number or year made respectively.

In addition, some collectors prefer specific models over others based on their design features like a day-date window or an extra orange tip for night-time visibility. Despite their fame, very few people are aware that this model name change took place— it wasn’t till later that collectors discovered what had happened!

Today, you can find vintage Pulsars at reasonable prices if you look hard enough online [eBay]. Many people collect and admire these watches for their classic style and functionality alike— especially when compared with today’s flashier designs!

You can find some nice examples of vintage Pulsars if you look hard enough. The old digital examples that are original are in big demand. Did you know? Pulsar was the the world's first electronic digital watch.

Wordpress.com Has Become So Annoying To Use

Just remembered that I had a few blogs on Wordpress.com and wanted to post an update on one of them. I haven't logged into Wordpress.com for quite a while. Seems like a lot has changed. The thing that stood out the most was just how f***ing annoying it has become to use the editor. I literally got so mad that I punched myself in the face. I went there to edit a post. I wanted to add some links.

But in the end it got me so mad because it kept putting the links in places where they weren't intended, that I just had to close it down. Bear in mind, I'm well versed in HTML, PHP, websites, coding, etc, so its not like I don't know what I'm doing with Wordpress. Wordpress.com has become extremely buggy, and with how mad that has just gotten me, it's safe to say that all the blogs I have on Wordpress.com have now been officially abandoned. It's just too infuriating to use Wordpress.com.

Google Destroys Blogspot Indexing Rate

What are Google doing. The index rate, particularly for blogspot blogs in my case (as well as one of my main real websites), has become longer than a month. I have some posts that haven't been indexed for over 6 weeks. Do they realise how demotivating it is. I want to write posts. I also have posts already written that I am holding back from submitting, all because Google just won't index them. I don't want any more posts just sitting out there in no mans land unindexed.

I already have around 20 posts, on many different blogs that are just waiting to be indexed. It has become ridiculous. Submitting them over and over in Google's Webmasters "request indexing" tool does nothing either.

Google are making it very difficult to stay patient, and  I can see why people just end up using black / grey hat tactics to get their posts indexed. I can also see why people make money online using methods that don't rely on Google, or its terrible new indexing rate. And I'm not talking about paying Google to advertise on their platform. When a company shows that don't care about their users, the last thing I would do is give them money.

I just don't know why they would do this. What is the point of slowing down the indexing rate so much. Is something broken? Is this to do with the move over to smartphone first crawling that has been rumored to cause a lot of problems. I don't know.

I'm now going to wait until all the posts I have waiting to be indexed actually get indexed. I won't submit or write any more posts. So I've been slowed down to adding 1 post per month. Thanks Google.

Broadcastify Destroys It's Free Feeds

Why do people have to change things all the time. This looks like a profit move in order to get people to sign up to their premium service. So, what has Broadcastify done that's so bad. Well, they have destroyed the user experience by making the feed automatically and continuously stop after around 9 - 10 minutes of listening to a live feed. Actually, it looks like the duration increases by around 1 minute the longer a user listens before the feed stops. Not to mention they are now including ads to the start of the feeds.

Broadcastify_Destroys_Its_Free_Feeds

Sometimes I would listen to a feed while doing other things online, but this has kind of made that harder to do. Everytime there is a quiet spot in the feed (no police activity / crime reports over the air) I'm paranoid that the feed has automatically stopped again. And most the time I'm right. This is a terrible move by Broadcastify and makes me not want to listen anymore.

This desperate move will certainly not get me to sign up to premium. It's quite annoying. And when something has become annoying, the last thing I would do is give the people who are causing the annoyance money. May as well just buy my own radio scanner!

Neocore E1 - Last Tablet Standing

The Neocore brand used to sell a number of different tablets, some of which were excellent for the time period. You had the Neocore B1, C1, N1 and N1F. There may be a few more, but those are the models that spring to mind. Fast-forward a few years and now, the only model Neocore seem to be putting most of their time, technology and effort into, is the E1.

Neocore_E1_2020_21_British_UK

I've seen a few Neocore N1 for sale on Amazon and eBay, some are brand new on Amazon and a few are either used or refurbished on eBay. So going on those findings, Neocore are certainly not producing the N1 in any big quantities. Shame really, because some of their older models were fantastic for the price, and it can't be too profitable tapering down to selling just one or two tablets.

Neocore's Product Range

I know that Neocore sell other products, such as wireless Bluetooth speakers (more reviewed here) and accessories, etc, but still it would be nice to see a re-emergence of some of their older models. Perhaps it makes more sense profit-wise to concentrate on one tablet product rather than pump more money into a range of tablets that basically all offer the same or very similar specification.

And I know that the profit margin on tablets that use good quality components isn't that great, especially when you have all the outgoings of running a legitimate business.

Product Availability

Correct me if I'm wrong, while there are still some N1's available, it does appear that the Neocore E1 is pretty much the last Tablet standing from the Neocore range. As in, still in production.

In fairness to Neocore, the E1, has seen some vast improvements through the generations, and the latest model does have an impressive specification.

Customer Reviews & Feedback

Both the E1 and N1 are fairly good tablets and do score well when it comes to customer reviews. However, given the E1's price, and the emergence of some giant brands such as Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei and Amazon Fire (honourable mention to Fusion5) setting up shop with some excellent models at the same price point and lower, the specification of the E1 has to be superb just to compete.

But they do, and the sales of the E1 seems to be going steady (but has dropped a bit recently), with the review score staying nice and healthy within the 4 - 5 star range at the same time (The N1 doesn't fair as well). Let's hope the sales continue to grow and Neocore can improve or expand on their product range.

Best Budget PS4 Headset UK

Best Budget PS4 Headset UK. What is the best budget PS4 headset to buy in the UK. Well, I would probably go with the EKSA E900 if price vs overall quality and value for money are your top concerns. They have good headphone speaker quality sound, a good amount of padding, Noise Cancelling, and great quality microphone quality for the price. See the video below for a sample / example test of the microphone quality. Below: 3 of the best PS4 Headsets (UK, USA and Canada) for the lowest possible prices.

There are of course other headsets worth considering. One being the Turtle Beach Recon 70. These are for those people on a serious budget, but do work well. They work with PS4, PC, XBOX and PS5

If your budget is stretchable a little bit further, the Razer BlackShark V2 X [wired] are most probably the best PS4 [and PS5] headset out there for sale right now within their price point. They're not actually that expensive though compared to some headsets. Check out the video review below.

Blackshark V2 X Gaming Headset UK

An example of how quickly the price changes, is if we take a look at the price difference between the BlackShark V2 X and the wireless Razer Blackshark V2 Pro. Trust me, they are miles apart. Go with the cheaper V2 X, they are excellent. Or, take a look at the very cheaply priced Orzly headset [PS5, XBOX PS4 etc]. You don't have to spend a big wad of money to have a nice, high quality headset compatible with PS4, XBOX, normal computers, and for the majority of the products, most will work with PS5 too.

Orzly Gaming Headset RXH-20 [Review]

After talking briefly about the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 on a previous post, I thought I should quickly write about another pair of gaming headphones which are significantly cheaper than most. But guess what... They are compatible with the Playstation 5 (PS5). So, if you managed to order a PS5 [lucky you], but you've spent all your money on the console itself, and now desperately need some decent headphones at a budget price, the Orzly Gaming Headset RXH-20's are definitely worth a look.

Buy the Orzly RXH-20 Headset [Orange - Vesuvius Edition]

Reviews on Amazon are good [were good]. Update since writing this post. Some reviews coming through [Hornet RXH-20 Abyss Edition] are saying they are terrible. Scoring one star out of five on Amazon. Could it be a quality control issue, or something else, who knows. If you don't want to take the risk [I wouldn't buy them], spend a bit more and buy the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Generation 2's. [more information on them here]

Buy a Sony PS5 Headset UK

Buy a Sony PS5 Headset UK. Well, some headsets for the PS5 are expensive (Pulse 3D, Sony Platinums etc). But why pay silly money when there are quite a few excellent alternatives to the more pricey models. One model well worth considering, is the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 [in stock right now]. This models works well as a Wireless Gaming Headset for both Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.

Generation 2 Turtle Beach Stealth 600 In-Depth Video Review

Buy From Amazon

They have fast become a best seller on Amazon UK [user review score 4.5 out of 5], and the reviews are very good from end users. However, they are not super cheap in comparsion to the other models mentioned above, but they are lower in price and do offer great features for the price.

There is some confusion among potential customers because on the listing there is no option to choose specifically PS5, only PS4. Just buy the PS4 model, as they also work with the PS5.

They work perfectly fine with the Playstation 5 and also work with Sony’s 3D audio (be sure to update the headset and usb transmitter prior to using turtle beach software) Two unused USB ports are required. Turtle beach App is compatible as well. Best PS5 headset for the money.

Funny Bullworker Training Videos

Some of the older Bullworker training videos from the 1980's are funny. They are good, but cringeworthy. The cheesy looking men, and women in their 80's leotard attire. lol. Don't get me wrong, I actually think the Bullworker is a pretty good piece of training equipment, and I would definitely consider buying an older model. Lot's of training guides in the form of PDF's and infographics (charts) are out there too.

Used vintage Bullworkers can be found for sale cheap on eBay. One like the guy is using in the video would be good enough. That's one of the older models with the green handles (called the Tensolator I think). There's also the older model with the brown handle grips (original?). X5 is another good older example. https://takoona.blogspot.com

Android Or Windows OS In a Small Device

Windows is terrible, especially Windows 10. It needs a heck of a lot of power in terms of RAM and Processor power to run smoothly. That's why in small devices like tablets it's much better to go with Android. Easy to use and mostly frugal with a mchines resources, Android is definitely the first choice for me. I would like to try out the Unix operating system in general, as I've heard good things about it.

Not Laughing At Blogger

Write nonsense. The new Blogger interface is so bad. It seems like Google have updated it just so they can try to promote their analytics software. The stats in Blogger no longer show where a visitor came from. You have to click through to analytics. What a joke.

Add to that the new layout is horrible. Harder to use and everything is round. Why does every update have to make things rounder, like that is an update. Square with sharp edges was fine. Congratulations Google, you just made Blogger ten times worse.

eBay Cassini

Listing an item for sale on eBay lately. I have, and it seems like their silly Cassini search makes sure that certain items, like mine, do not see the light of day. What a joke eBay is. Their partner network is bad enough (I've been a member for years), but now, using eBay to actually sell something after years of not using it has proved to be just as bad.

More more more. What you watching? I'm watching Still Game. ⇉ Been watching too much depressing stuff. There's no shortage of it at the moment.

Namecheap fixing prices as they go

Namecheap are terrible. It says one price when buying a domain, and has a "retail" price underneath. But when renewing the domain the price goes up. Asking them why seems to be the same as asking them to solve a master equation. They seem puzzled and can't give a straight answer. I know their profit margins are tight, but there should be renewal prices listed and able to be seen when purchasing on every domain, not just .info and a few others.

Rare Pilot From The 80s - Northstar

Rare Pilot From The 80s [1986] - Northstar. Not sure why this was never made into a full blown series, as it had great potential. It's actually quite good. The storyline, the actors, this could have been great. The bit where he [Greg Evigan] is chasing the car theives on the motorbike is hilarious. Check it out below. It's the full "movie" [pilot].
